This little Japanese shoulder plane has become my new favourite tool (for this week). Working on this set of shelves has posed its challenges but it’s so satisfying to sneak up on the perfect fit with a hand tool like this. I’m becoming more and more inclined to reach for my Japanese tools these days. Something about the delicate simplicity of Japanese hand tools always keeps me coming back. What do you think?
