From Monday 4 June 2018, learners drivers will be allowed on the motorway with an approved driving instructor in a car with dual controls. Any motorways lessons will be voluntary. The rules are changing so that learner drivers get more experience before passing their driving test - like getting training on how to join and leave the motorway, overtake and use lanes correctly.
