Today we honor and remember MAJ Jeffrey R. Calero September 7, 1973 – October 29, 2007 MAJ Jeffrey R. Calero died on 29 October 2007 in Kajaki, Afghanistan, while supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. MAJ Calero was assigned to 1st Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group, Fort Payne, Alabama, when he was killed by an Improvised Explosive Device while he was on a dismounted patrol.
