The Kansas City Chiefs spirit can be felt throughout the Zoo! Some animals like sea lions Delilah and Luna have been the perfect cheerleaders, while caracal Nandi and addax Mariano demonstrated skillful ways to take down the 49ers. Guests who visited the Zoo saw excellent chalk art at the Scrubland Aviary and even goal post enrichment in the octopus habitat. We are thrilled to welcome one of our newest friends to the Zoo: Chandler! Could he BE any cooler? This sandbar shark is one of the first arrivals to the 650,000-gallon aquarium, which is scheduled to open Labor Day weekend. Chandler will reside in the Pacific Reef habitat that will be the home to a variety of shark species.
