Brooks Camp, Katmai National Park, where the bears swim out to the plane to greet you. Kinda. Before we were able to get off of our plane, this bear decided to come over and dive for salmon right in front of us. When you’re getting off of the plane after landing at Brooks Camp, Katmai National Park. It’s not unusual to see bears walking the beach near the park visitor center, where the float planes park. In this case, there seemed to be a disagreement between three bears that spilled onto the beach right as our plane pulled up- Fortunately, it didn’t last long and everyone was able to disembark.
