Its not the best roast...
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·anonymous
Its not the best roast beef for sure, but it is the best roast beef that's ready in only four minutes. The beef is not the best cut, a fair amount of fat. Its very tender though, whatever cooking method they use does its job on tenderness. Its also a just bit pricey for the portions. They say its three servings but I would say two portions max. Finally the Au Jus. Its not that great. Extra salty maybe? I know Au Jus is supposed to be salty, but this is extra so or severely harsh in some way. Its functional on the beef but if you plan to use it as a sandwich dip perhaps think about adding a bit of water to thin it out a little, mellow it some maybe? \nAll that might sound like I don't like it but I do for sure like it quite a bit. I gave it four stars but I just wanted to be very clear why the best feature by far is the convenience of only four min in the microwave.

i buy 2 of these things a week. i absolutely love them over those cheddar broccoli rice cups or on bob evans mashed potatoes. even on a salad its great. i have bought a bunch of these that had an extreme amount of fat in it and ones that werent nearly the same size. i can eat 1 of these by myself easily but it can feed 2 people. wish they were a bit cheaper just considering how many i buy a month. Tried the other kind that were beef cubes and they were disgusting! definitely stick to this roast kind!

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Katherine
I'm a widow now going on 4 yrs. I always enjoyed cooking but with it just being me it's hard to cook for just 1 person. It was difficult when the kids went out on their own and I had to get used to cooking for 2 instead of a family. I don't like throwing away food. I usually end up with leftovers. If my Son lived closer I'd send him some decent meals. Alas, he lives about 30-40 miles away and my Daughter is in Ohio. \nSo I buy quite a bit of prepared meals. It's kinda pricey but I think it evens out when you consider wasting food by having to throw away leftovers if I don't get to eat them before they spoil. \nI wish this was a little cheaper because it's the closest to my pot roast that I've been able to find

I have been buying these for years, but since the pandemic, the portion sizes have gone down. I also feel I find more fat in the product than I used to. I would make these and it would be enough for a family of four with sides, but now you need two. I only use these when I need a quick meal, because it's not worth the price and portion size you receive. When it comes to the taste and preparation time there are no complaints. They used to be priced around $5-6 dollars now they are $8 .

I tried this beef and I thought it tasted good. In my opinion, it is notvery much product, so I'm not sure of it's true value for the money. Taste and texture good.... price, maybe not. I always think there should be a 3rd option when it askes if you would recommend it or not besides just yes or just no. If I were telling someone else about it, the answer would be yes, but with warning. The warning being, there is not a lot of product included in it.

It was OK
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·JDOWELL
This wasn't bad but not great. Def needs at least salt and pepper. It lacked some in seasoning. I made some mashed potatoes to go with it and poured the gravy from this over the potatoes. It's just me so I was able to get abt 3 servings out of this and what could've been a 4th had too much fat left to eat. I'm not sure if I'll purchase again tho. I think I'd rather make my own roast in the crockpot. I do want to try the meatloaf version of this though.

Enough for 2 adults, (rational portions) maybe 3 depending on your side dishes. I don't usually like precooked meat, but this was surprisingly good. Tastes just like a nice homemade roast. (Not "flavored like" meat) The meat itself, was well cooked and not full of fat/gristle. Texture was not dry or rubbery as can happen with precooked meat. Very impressive overall. I'd place this as a mid-range "normal" flavor. Well seasoned. Not too salty or too bland, no need to "add flavor to it". (Everyone has their own standards of normal seasoning.) The au jus is really nice, I thickened it into a nice gravy for mashed potatoes. I would definitely recommend this to others.

This item is a favorite of mine, as it is easily prepared and quite tasty. I usually have it along with rice and a vegetable, and find that it goes a long way. The gravy is especially good with the rice. One can easily use this as a main course for two hungry people, or several meals for one person. My only complaint is that there has been a recent price increase on this item which makes it less of a bargain then it formerly was.

I've purchased this 4 times, shredded it as mostly use for French dip, liquid is plentiful. The size however, is not big portion so if you're feeding more than two, probably not going to do for seconds. It is super easy to cook and comes out moist and pulls apart easily. Not tough or chewy - delicious- just a little spendy in comparison to the other products they offer and the proportion they provide.

Several months ago, I'd have suggested that you try this. It tastes great and it's easy to prepare. However, the price has doubled and it is not worth it at that price. I'm extremely disappointed in Walmart for the huge price markup. I'd have understood some increase, but to have all of these products go up to nearly $12 overnight reduces the value of the product to nearly nothing.

This is an easy quick fix for a dinner for two, with either mashed potatoes, noodles or another side dish, this is a good fast meal. Make with broccoli or your favorite veg, even if you make a pan of cornbread and spoon the meat and gravy over the cornbread makes a great filling meal for a few people. There is not much in the pack so feeding more than o e or two would be a stretch.

4.5 I was really surprised at how good it tasted. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 was because of the portion. It can feed 2 people, 1 person if you're really hungry. shredded up for sandwiches or tacos it can feed 4. For the price I guess it wasn't to bad it's not processed meat it a real cut of chuck roast. I would definitely buy it again and would reccomend to others.

I like the flavor. I like the convenience and ease of heating up to serve and it does well in a pinch or if, like me, you are “cooking” for 1. I knocked of 2 stars for the price gouging for the same cheap quality meat you will find in a taqueria on the side of the road in Orlando, or a ‘Placita' thereabouts, as an example. The leftover stuff that you use for leftovers.\nThe value for the money (lack of value) is a shame. There's not nearly enough meat here and way too much fat. Lower the price one or two dollars your company will still make millions and you'll have more satisfied customers.\nAlso lay off the caramel coloring, it adds no value whatsoever.

I have to say that I really like this product and use it on a regular basis for dinner (with some prepared mashed potatoes and frozen vegetables) or sometimes for a roast beef sandwich. The only drawbacks I see are that it's pretty expensive for no more meat than you get so you have to weigh delicious taste and very easy preparation against that.

This is the best for all busy people who want something that is incredibly fast, yet still surprisingly great! You won't find many things that taste like something you have been cooking all day and yet was actually made in the microwave in a matter of minutes! \nI serve the roast-topped with cheese-on Hawaiian rolls as dippers, baked potatoes, or as a stand alone dish with mashed potatoes and veggies. \nIf you're a fan of roast, buy it, try it, and you won't be disappointed! Our family has been eating this for years and as long as it's available, we will continue to buy!

I bought ice and an insulated bag last time, called them to put my cold food on ice in the bag. It didn't happen. Driver didn't speak or comprehend English.

These days it's so hard to find time to make a home cooked meal! Not only do we eat this as roast beef that is always tender and great, I use it to make beef stew, beef stroganoff, French dip, Philip cheese steak and any other dish you can think of. I've never had to pay more than $9.99 for it. It is cheaper than buying and cooking roast or any other beef product and you can always be guaranteed the flavor and tenderness.. It's a favorite in my home and I always keep one in the freezer to know there's always a great meal within minutes.

Portions of the entire package would only feed two adults. So, for every additional adult eating, expect to buy more than one, which would be an expensive meal. And going back for seconds, you can forget that unless you buy more. It was too expensive. Overall, it has great taste and is very tender just costly.

Ok, so I've never written a review for food before lol, but here goes. Was looking for a few quick fix meals for ‘those' nights and I have to say this has been a big hit. Have gotten it twice now and the flavor is so much better than other prepared foods we've tried. It's fast, easy, tender, and doesn't have a lot of fat strings or gristle. Along with frozen or canned vegetables and some fruit, it makes a decent meal you don't have to put any thought or prep into. Obviously not for every day but again, a good go to for ‘those' nights.

It was okay I guess, but definitely doesn't look like the picture. It was more tiny, shredded pieces with fat mixed in. So if you are sensitive about the texture of meats then you might not like this. Flavor wasn't bad though, I used it in some stroganoff after I picked out as much fat as I could.

This is by far the best roast i have ever had (including made from scratch). It is a bit pricey but worth it! I like to shred it up and most of the time there is very little fat but it is still sooooo tender and has so much flavor! It has a nice au jus and its amazing mixed with steak sauce and mash pot on the side. Great with some flatbread or texas toast too! Good in tacos, sandwiches and or just plain! NEVER found any grisle or anything either! Once the tiny bit of fat is picked out its awesome!

I was actually surprised the first time I got this. I live alone and making a full roast meal isn't a usual thing I do, so I am happy for this discovery. The roast impressed me! It cooked up nicely in the microwave in its own container - I don't mind the no cleanup. The meat is tender, not too fat (I don't do well with fatty meats), and the au jus has a rich flavor, just right to soak up in bread. The price is comparable to other pre-made meal but for me this one tastes of a better quality

This is a weekly must have. I can cook it with pre-cooked rice, or I can cut up a baked potato, into the gravy. And I microwave baby carrots then put the carrots in the gravy to cook further. And you've got a pot roast.\n\nYou can use it not just as is but it makes a great base for other meals, stew for instance. \nVersatile, pantry must have\n\nThe one thing, I don't like is the hard white fat floating in the gravy. I remove as much as I can, and no, it doesn't dry it out.
