YouTube experienced technical difficulties on Wednesday, Oct. 15, with more than 300K users reporting problems.
Companies including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and more have added parental monitoring tools and screen time limits for kids and teens in recent years. However, at the same time, YouTube Shorts has added longer form videos and more TikTok-like editing tools, expanding the capabilities of the site to serve up more screen time-tempting content.
YouTube TV's current distribution deal with Disney expires October 30, and it could leave subscribers without channels like ABC and ESPN.
The company is unrolling the “shorts feed limit,” which lets you set a cap on endless scrolling—if you can resist the urge to ignore it.
