屋宇署去年12月頒布棚網抽樣檢測新制度。有媒體今日報道指，有個案按新規定採樣檢測、取得符合阻燃效能標準測試報告，然後將棚網上架，但屋宇署抽樣測試後，發現棚網未達阻燃效能標準而須下架，屋宇署回應指，至今沒有出現這類個案。 該署指，近日才陸續收到棚網上架的通知，署方對已通過檢測並上架的棚網進行的抽樣檢測工作剛剛開始，至今向三宗個案採樣並陸續送交政府化驗所測試，目前未有測試結果。

保安局局長鄧炳強表示，本港罪案數字進一步回落，1月至11月錄得81,731宗罪案，較2024年同期下跌5.8%。其中，暴力罪案有8,132宗，減少16.2%；破案率26.1%，與2024年同期相若。
