This special report focuses on the critical injury sustained by Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney. The BCCI confirmed the extent of the injury in a press release.
India batsman Shreyas Iyer is in stable condition and recovering well from a spleen injury, Twenty20 captain Suryakumar Yadav said on Tuesday.
Although Iyer’s removal from ICU is an encouraging sign, full recovery from a spleen-related injury can take several weeks. For now, both medical experts and the Indian camp are relieved that the worst appears to have passed, but the next phase of his rehabilitation will determine when he can safely return to the field.
