The U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem on Monday said ICE agents will be coming to San Francisco under the direction of President Trump. This comes as the president continues to threaten the deployment of the National Guard to the city.

The Trump administration is sending federal agents to San Francisco following weeks of threats from the president to deploy the National Guard to the Bay Area.

It was unclear whether the rest of the Bay Area would also be free from federal enforcement efforts, as was promised for San Francisco.
