The national 50501 group on Thursday announced it was disassociating itself with organizers of the Salt Lake City protest that resulted in the death of an innocent bystander.

The national team that operates 50501 condemned the Salt Lake City chapter after Saturday's shooting, saying all its events have a strict no-weapons policy, without exception.

The organization wrote that it has a strict, no weapons policy. The peacekeeper who volunteered with 50501 to work as security for the rally was the one who fired shots, hitting Arthur “Afa” Folasa Ah Loo, an innocent bystander.
