Melissa killed dozens in Haiti when a river burst its banks and left tens of thousands without electricity in Jamaica.

Hurricane Melissa tore a path of destruction across Jamaica on Tuesday, prompting the prime minister to declare the country a disaster area, after the storm made landfall as a Category 5 hurricane, one of the most powerful landfalls on record in the Atlantic basin.

The National Hurricane Center said this morning that Hurricane Melissa made landfall on the southern coast of Cuba as an "extremely dangerous" Category 3 storm, with winds of 120 mph. The storm hit near the city of Chivirico in the Cuban province of Santiago de Cuba.

FOX Weather correspondent Robert Ray has documented the destruction from Hurricane Melissa in the Jamaica home he and his team are staying, sharing a tour of the damaged property on social media.

One of whom is Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. Blank's foundation announced that it would make a generous donation to aid relief efforts for those in need, as the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation revealed it would send $2.5 million in relief to those affected by the hurricane in and around Jamaica.
