For Nintendo's latest, that's a little way down. The latest look informs us that Mario & Luigi: Brothership got off to a good start last week (not that we saw it) and arrived in third, but the same can't be said for its second appearance as the Bro-led RPG has wound up in 12th this week.

Brothership makes one small change to Luigi's combat controls, and many fans of the RPG series are upset about it.

As you work through the story of Mario & Luigi Brothership, you'll slowly unlock new mechanics and abilities that will tweak how you approach the unique turn-based combat in the game. Arguably, the most impactful new mechanic that is introduced a few hours into the game is battle plugs.

Side quests are unlocked after connecting the first few islands in Mario and Luigi: Brothership and getting Arc out of the container on the beach. Some side quests do have a time limit, meaning players will need to complete them quickly before progressing the main story otherwise they are lost.
