Government operations are shut down in Jefferson County, which comes after county leaders failed to pass the budget in Monday night's Quorum Court meeting.

Before Wednesday night’s quorum court meeting to discuss the budget, multiple leaders held separate meetings that morning to discuss the disagreements that led to the 2025 Budget not being finalized earlier in the week.

The Jefferson County quorum court failed to pass a budget earlier this week, and until they can agree on a budget, all county employees won't get paid.
