Pakistan Cricket Board dismissed the reports of Aqib Javed replacing Jason Gillespie as the head coach of the national team across formats. Gillespie will stay the red-ball coach for the series against South Africa.

Javed’s interim appointment runs until March 9, 2025, coinciding with the end of the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
