The release of the BJP manifesto and Union minister Amit Shah's comments on "infiltration" have drawn a sharp response from Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

At the launch of the BJP’s manifesto in Jharkhand, Shah said that women and tribal communities are unsafe under the ruling JMM’s regime.

RANCHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday targeted the Hemant Soren government for encouraging Bangladeshi infiltration. While addressing a poll meeting at Ghatshila in Jharkhand, Shah alleged the JMM-led coalition government has failed to stop the injustice done by the intruders to the sisters and daughters of Jharkhand.

Neither the UCC nor the NRC will be implemented here. Jharkhand will rely solely on the Chotanagpur Tenancy and Santhal Pargana Tenancy Acts,' Soren stated.
