Ford is looking to take some of the sting out of EV charging by offering a free home charger. The automaker will even send out a technician to install it at no cost to you if you buy or lease a retail Mustang Mach-E,

Today, the company launched a new initiative called the “Ford Power Promise,” in which it will provide a suite of benefits to customers who buy or lease a new EV. And chief among them is a complimentary home charger for all new customers, as well as the costs of standard installation.

Ford Motor Co. is offering customers who buy or lease an electric vehicle a free home charger and complimentary installation through the end of the year, a program aimed at eliminating some of the perceived barriers consumers considering driving an EV might have.
