Demolition continued Wednesday at the White House to make way for President Donald Trump's $250 million ballroom, but the renovation is far more extensive than he has let on.

The entirety of the East Wing of the White House will be demolished within days, two Trump administration officials have said.

Trump also defended a military strike on an alleged drug boat in the Pacific, maintaining the attacks in international waters were legal under US law.
