The leaders who spoke at an energy summit in Pittsburgh said they were investing because of Pa.'s energy reserves, its skilled workforce and its political cohesion.

The summit aimed to position Pennsylvania as a leader in energy production for new technologies such as artificial intelligence. Protesters argued that the fossil fuels required to power those tools will increase pollutants and drive climate change.
