Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson has had a setback while rehabilitating his torn right Achilles tendon, according to GM Andrew Berry, who said the team will know in the coming weeks if Watson will need another surgery.

As if the Deshaun Watson situation couldn't get any worse for the Cleveland Browns, the team relayed an unfortunate update on Monday morning. Watson went down with a ruptured Achilles tendon in Oct. 20's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals — ending his season at just seven games.

Browns GM Andrew Berry told reporters Monday it's too early to tell if new issues will impact Deshaun Watson's availability for 2025 NFL season.

The Browns head into this offseason with a few positional needs, but one of the biggest ones is at quarterback. With the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Cleveland is in a great position to get one of the top signal-callers.

After Deshaun Watson had a season-ending Achilles injury, the Cleveland Browns quarterback had more unfortunate news. He suffered a setback in his injury progression, according to ESPN reporter Daniel Oyefusi on X.

The Browns learned about Watson’s new medical situation during player exit meetings on Sunday, and said it’s too early to know what it means going forward.

Some Cleveland Browns fans aren’t that fond of Deshaun Watson. The former Houston Texans quarterback hasn’t played up to expectations since he arrived in Cleveland. More than that, his constant injuries have also been a reason for concern.
