Multiple injured in Aurora seven vehicle crash on I-225, teen suspect arrested on felony warrant
A teenager is facing multiple charges after he allegedly caused a seven car crash in Aurora late Friday night.
The Kane County Coroner's Office said Monday that Diego Nava Torres, 32, of Chicago and Samantha Ortiz, 33, of Chicago were killed in the crash. The crash happened at about 8:10 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 88 near Mitchell Road in North Aurora, police said.
Westbound lanes in the area of Tower Road were closed Saturday morning due to a semi that crashed into the median.
One person was cited for careless driving after a fiery crash between two semitrucks closed Interstate 70 in Aurora for several hours Friday morning.
