The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, Oct. 22 is an estimated $321 million after no one took home the top prize on Monday, Oct. 20.

A woman was sitting on her porch drinking coffee when she found out she won a huge Powerball prize. The Madison County woman was running errands when she stopped at a store in Huntsville and bought two Powerball tickets for the Oct. 13 drawing, according to an Oct. 22 news release from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

HUNTSVILLE, Ark. — A lucky Madison County woman won $50,000 after buying a winning Powerball ticket at the Kings River County Store in Huntsville on Oct. 13. Glenda claimed her prize on Oct. 20, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery officials said. She bought two Powerball tickets over a week ago while she was running errands.

With the help of a Powerball jackpot that reached nearly $1.8 billion during the first week of September, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery's total revenue increased in September from $45.6 million in the same month in 2024 to $54.

The man woke up around 4:30 a.m. and checked the winning numbers and saw, “Winner — claim at lottery.” When he checked his ticket, he realized he won $1.338 million. “Heck yeah, my dreams came true!” the man said with excitement, according to lottery officials.
