Marvel Rivals can't save you from getting nom-nom'd by Jeff the Shark's tough-to-dodge ultimate, but the hero shooter's game director does have some advice for avoiding it. So far, NetEase in general has been pretty hands-off when it comes to balance in Marvel Rivals - although it did get its first balance patch with Season 1 - and that approach very much extends to the game's lovable but also very hateable anti-hero,

Marvel Rivals is offering a new cosmetic for Discord users who are willing to leave the app open while they play the game – but they'll have to be quick if they want to earn it.

Jeff the Land Shark has probably one of the most infamous ultimates in Marvel Rivals. With the ability to swallow up any hero that gets caught up in the area of effect, friend or foe, and then launch them off the side of the map (or into an ulting Scarlet Witch—dealers choice).

NetEase has confirmed Marvel Rivals will receive a new hero every month and a half, but won't be adding enforced roles. Speaking to Metro, game director Guangyun Chen was asked about the cadence of heroes joining the game.

Marvel Rivals landed with a wide roster, boasting 33 heroes when it launched on December 5. Just over a month later, the hero shooter's received two additions to its lineup, thanks to the arrival of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman with the advent of Season 1.
