The South Carolina Gamecocks finished (9-3) during the regular season last year with a massive win over rival Clemson.

South Carolina first fielded a football team all the way back in 1892. Since skipping a year in 1906, the Gamecocks have consistently had a squad on the gridiron each fall.

Meanwhile, Texas (31-3) settled for silver in its first appearance in the league's postseason tournament. Led by Chloe Kitts' game-high 15 points, South Carolina had four players score at least 10 points on Sunday.
