Costco just announced that all employees at its non-union stores will get a pay raise a day before employees at its 50 unionized stores are set to go on strike.

Costco Wholesale Corp. is raising pay for most of its hourly US workers to more than $30 an hour amid contract talks with unionized employees.

Costco (NASDAQ:COST) is hiking its hourly pay for most store employees to $30 an hour, translating into a $1 an hour raise for those at the top of the pay scale, while those at the bottom will see their paycheck increase by $0.
