One of the March Madness 2028 NCAA men's basketball tournament regionals will be held at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

March Madness is returning to San Francisco, to Chase Center, specifically. As previously announced, the venue will host the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball West Regionals on March 27 and 29 of 2025.

The NCAA announced the preliminary round host sites for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 March Madness tournaments on Wednesday.

For the 2028 NCAA Tournament, the action will once again begin with the First Four in Dayton, Ohio. Then the 1st- and 2nd-ranked games will be played in Brooklyn, Orlando. Columbus, Ohio, Des Moines, Iowa, Birmingham, Alabama, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Salt Lake City and Seattle.

March Madness is coming back to the Queen City. In 2027, Charlotte will host the first and second round games for the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. The NCAA said the games will be played at the Spectrum Center. They’ll be hosted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The city of Birmingham and Legacy Arena will host the first and second rounds games of the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2028.

In men’s basketball, first- and second-round games in 2027 will be played in Charlotte, N.C.; Fort Worth, Tx.; Louisville, Ky; , Minneapolis; Omaha, Neb.; Pittsburgh; Sacramento, Calif; and, Spokane, Wash. The 2028 cities will be Birmingham, Ala.; Brooklyn; Columbus, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; Orlando, Fla.; Salt Lake City; Seattle; and, Tulsa, Okla.

March Madness will be returning to Sacramento in 2027, hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA men's tournament.

In March of 2027 and 2028, the Golden 1 Center will host the first and second rounds of the Men's Division I College Basketball Championships.
