Bentley revealed that its first EV, a luxury urban SUV, will debut in 2026. The company has also pushed back its goal of going all-electric to 2035.

Bentley has revealed details of its first all-electric model, a Luxury Urban SUV, set to be built in the UK at the heavily remodelled Bentley plant in Crewe.

The brand’s second model and first luxury SUV will start at $94,900 when orders open next month, with less expensive trims coming in 2025.

Bentley is feeling the slowdown in the global EV hype and has accordingly adjusted its plans of going fully electric by five years, shifting the goalpost from 2030 to 2035. But the transition phase isn't going to be a boring one.

However, the automaker now plans to launch just the one EV, confirmed by Walliser on Thursday as an SUV, and will add more depending on how the market turns. Walliser said Bentley is open to launching a new EV or plug-in hybrid every year after the first EV, and currently targets a switch to a fully electric lineup by 2035.
