The measure cements into law much of Trump’s agenda and is being hailed by the president and his supporters as a major victory.

Trump is expected to sign the bill on Friday around 5 p.m. ET at a White House celebration for the July 4 Independence Day holiday. The ceremony is expected to include a flyover by stealth bombers and fighter jets that took part in the recent U.

The bill’s passage is a major policy win for Trump who displayed complete control over Republicans — by holding them to his self-imposed July 4 deadline.

But for many Democratic leaders, the tax break and spending cut package adopted by Trump’s Republican allies in Congress Thursday represents the key to the Democratic Party’s resurgence.
