On Friday at 12:49 a.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 3 p.m. until Saturday 10 a.m. for Orleans, Monroe, Wayne and Cayuga counties.
The Mohawk Valley braces for extreme cold, followed by a snow event, Fri., Jan 23 through Mon., Jan. 26, subzero temps, frigid windchill, snow move in.
Snowfall will begin to accumulate on Saturday afternoon and continue throughout Sunday. Roads will become difficult if not impassable at times.
