Various way-too-early 2026 NFL mock drafts have included Texas quarterback Arch Manning in the first round, which means the first-year starter for the Longhorns would have to leave school a year early for that to come to fruition.

The 21-year-old hasn’t hinted at anything yet, but his grandfather, the legendary Archie Manning, may have just killed the hopes and dreams of teams who may find themselves at the top of the 2026 draft boards.

Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is the reason the school received its first-ever No. 1 ranking in the preseason Coach’s Poll. He’s got tremendous athletic abilities on the field. He certainly didn’t show it, though, in a reaction test he posted of himself miserably failing.
