Russia has launched one of the largest aerial attacks on Ukraine, Ukraine’s foreign minister said, hitting energy infrastructure across the country, killing at least two people and causing widespread damage.

A “massive” Russian missile and drone attack has targeted power infrastructure across Ukraine, the country’s energy minister German Galushchenko has said. It is the largest such assault since early September, with reports of several explosions across Ukraine, according to authorities and local media.

Russia launched “one of the largest air attacks” of the war overnight, Ukraine’s foreign minister said, firing more than 200 missiles and drones at the country’s energy infrastructure. Andrii Sybiha said Russia targeted “critical infrastructure” in “peaceful cities,” causing “preventative” outages.
