Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford took a major step toward returning to full action on Saturday, throwing 68 passes during a morning workout at the team’s practice facility.

Stafford throws more than 60 passes and remains on track to return to practice Monday after missing first three weeks of training camp.

Stafford has been inactive this summer after aggravating a disk in his back. Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters on Saturday that Stafford is recovering well. The star QB threw more than 60 passes without limitations. The team expects Stafford to resume practice next week.
