ASTORIA, Queens (WABC) -- A mother in Queens is recovering after jumping out a window to get away from her son, who police say was threatening her with a knife. The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on Friday at a residential building on Shore Boulevard.

A 64-year-old woman was hospitalized on Friday night after being threatened by her son, who was carrying a knife, and then going out the window of her third-story apartment in Queens, police said.
