WEST MILFORD — A typically submerged bridge that was constructed more than 150 years ago has reappeared at the Oak Ridge Reservoir in Morris County. The horse-and-buggy span is known to locals as the "ghost bridge" because it's rarely seen.

Known locally as the "Ghost Bridge," neighbors said the stone bridge that is usually under feet of water dates back 200 years. It is still fully intact and now completely exposed, making for a rare sight and intriguing photo to snap.

Likely submerged for most of its existence, the stone bridge now exposed along with the reservoir's bare floor provides the only hint of a village that vanished over a century ago. It isn't a ghost story but a reminder of pressing needs at the turn of the 20th century.

The bridge is located in the Oak Ridge Reservoir in northern New Jersey, which is one of several reservoirs that supplies water to the people of Newark.
