Legal experts' weighed in following the resentencing of Erik and Lyle Menendez after a California judge ruled that the convicted killers would be immediately eligible for parole.

The Menendez brothers have been resentenced to 50 years to life in prison, opening them up for the possibility of parole after spending more than three decades behind bars for killing their parents decades ago.

Erik and Lyle Menendez are now eligible for parole under California’s youthful offender law because they committed the crime under the age of 26.
