American businessman John Textor's team Lyon have been provisionally relegated to Ligue 2 and imposed a transfer ban for the upcoming window due to its failure to achieve financial sustainability.

French club Lyon will be demoted to Ligue 2 at the end of the season if they do not improve their finances, and will be banned from signing players in January.
