Cillian Murphy has been named Best Lead Actor in the film category of the Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs) for the second year running. Following his win last year for Oppenheimer (which went on to bag him the Oscar), Murphy won for his role in the film Small Things Like These.

The Irish Film and Television Academy (Ifta) Awards and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) Awards have been handed out over the past couple of days, with Irish actors and creators taking home numerous titles.

RTÉjr were delighted to bring home a gong at the IFTA Awards. Dembaya, produced by JAM Media, was named the Winner in the Short Film (Animation) category. The beautiful film, Directed by Borja Espana and Produced by Shauna Cullen and a fantastic team of artists in JAM, was commissioned by RTÉjr as part of the Home series.
