Republicans George Teal and Kevin Vanwinkle appear to be on track to win the two county commissioner races in Colorado's Douglas County.

Douglas County residents cast their votes at the polls Tuesday in the general election to decide several seats in the county commission, state legislature, and elect a new district attorney. Residents will also determine whether to approve a new structure of government for the Lawrence City Commission and approve a measure that would fund homelessness

City council and commissioner seats were up for election in Jefferson County and Oldham County. See results as votes come in.

Douglas County voters will choose at least one new face to join the Board of County Commissioners. There are three commissioner seats on the board.

A Reserve Township commissioner was attacked on Election Day outside of his polling place, just as he set up a political sign.

The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners likely will stay red this year, with Republicans taking the lead against Democrats in each of three open elections.
