Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Saturday even as her Cabinet ministers hit the road and started reviewing repairs of potholed roads and pending projects across the city.

Within hours of taking oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, along with her Cabinet colleagues, perform ‘Yamuna aarti’ at the city’s Vasudev Ghat. The party leaders then headed to the Delhi secretariat for the first Cabinet meeting.

BJP MLA Rekha Gupta took charge as the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi at her Secretariat office here on Thursday. Earlier in the day, the first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh was administered oath as the chief minister by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena in a grand ceremony at the Ramlila Maidan. Her Council of Ministers were also sworn in.

Now that Delhi has got its new Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the suspense around who is going to be a part of the Cabinet, has also ended. The full list of Delhi Cabinet ministers include Parvesh Verma, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravindra Kumar Indraj, Kapil Mishra, Ashish Sood and Pankaj Kumar Singh.

Six other MLAs including New Delhi MLA Parvesh Verma have been given a berth in the Delhi Cabinet led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

Rekha Gupta is the first time MLA from Shalimar Bagh. The BJP has returned to power in Delhi after over 27 years, ending the 10-year rule of the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP.

Sheila Dikshit is the longest-serving chief minister of New Delhi, having served for 15 years and 25 days in total.
