New Braunfels police charged an Austin police officer in connection with a domestic violence incident that occurred in New Braunfels, APD said.

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - An Austin police officer was arrested in New Braunfels for a domestic disturbance. New Braunfels police said on Sept. 28, around 5 p.m., officers were called to the 700 block of Tupelo Tank Drive for a report of a disturbance in progress.

Officer Josh Lugo has been placed on restricted duty, and the Austin Police Department has initiated an administrative investigation.

The jury is expected to begin deliberating Tuesday afternoon in the deadly conduct case against Austin police officer Christopher Taylor.
