Crews in Oklahoma are battling a large fire at a manufacturing business outside downtown Tulsa on Tuesday, local officials said. Multiple photos of a large, black plume of smoke were circulating online, appearing to show the clouds emanating from the site of the blaze, just off the Arkansas River.

The city's fire department responded to an explosion at the statewide manufacturing plant earlier today. Smoke is still visible.

UPDATE (11/19/24) — The Tulsa Fire Department said a large petroleum tanker fire in west Tulsa has been contained. Firefighters arrived on scene Axel Royal LLC off Charles Page Boulevard just before 10 a.m. and just now put the fire under control, TFD said.
