Tropical Storm Sara formed in the western Caribbean Sea and long-range forecasts show the possibility that the storm will turn to the northeast in the Gulf of Mexico and take a path toward Florida.

Once the remnants of Sara move into the Gulf of Mexico, a cold front is set to move in from the north. This will create a hostile environment for any tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico and the lingering moisture from Sara will merge with the cold front.

Tropical Storm Sara has formed in the Caribbean Sea and is forecast to continue strengthening, according to the National Hurricane Center.
