Confirmed number of measles cases rise to 198 across the South Plains
There are now 198 confirmed measles cases in the South Plains region. The Texas Department of State Health Services reports 23 of those patients have been hospitalized. Last week, Lubbock health officials confirmed the first death from the outbreak.
DSHS: More than 100 measles cases confirmed across the South Plains
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The number of confirmed measles cases across West Texas has surpassed 100. 124 measles cases have been identified since late January and has since spread from the Permian Basin to the Panhandle.
