"WWE NXT" will premiere on The CW network this week, and that brings some audience advantages and disadvantages compared to its tenure on USA.

NXT makes its move to The CW starting with next Tuesday’s premiere. While speaking with the Chicago Tribune in advance of the episode, Shawn Michaels confirmed that — from a look and physical standpoint — WWE has some changes in store for NXT.

The highly anticipated event will showcase the next generation of WWE superstars, marking a new era for NXT as it transitions to its new television home.

NXT started as a way to feature up-and-coming wrestlers that WWE hoped would be its future WrestleMania superstars. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the current WWE chief content officer, launched NXT in 2012 as a training center to give its athletes real-world reps and gain experience.

Shawn Michaels teases that more additions are coming to WWE NXT. In recent weeks, both Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have made their debuts on NXT programming. Giulia arrived at NXT No Mercy, and she will challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship on the October 1 episode of NXT.
