Jordan Marshall ran for a tiebreaking touchdown late in the third quarter and Bryce Underwood threw his second touchdown pass early in the fourth to help Michigan pull away and beat Washington 24-7.
Washington (5-2, 2-2), fresh off a 579-yard performance in last week’s 38-19 victory over Rutgers, was bottled up by Michigan’s defense, managing just 249 yards. Standout dual-threat quarterback Demond Williams Jr. passed for 209 yards and three interceptions while finishing with negative net rushing yards.
Demond Williams Jr. overcame a 9-yard loss on a sack by Derrick Moore by throwing a 31-yard pass to Raiden Vines-Bright. That gave the Huskies the ball on the Wolverines' 11-yard line. Three plays later Jonah Coleman ran one yard for the touchdown. With 2:04 remaining in the half, Washington is driving.
