The Met Office has issued multiple yellow weather warnings covering large parts of the country today, with snow, ice, wintery showers and freezing temperatures forecast

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for Lancashire on Monday and Tuesday, with up to 20cm (around 8in) of snow possible on higher ground.

Snow and ice warnings have been issued by the Met Office for late Sunday through to Tuesday. Northern areas and higher ground will be most at risk for potentially disruptive snow. Temperatures will be below the November average by Sunday with frosts expected through the coming week.
