Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto partners Nico Hulkenberg to complete Sauber's 2025 lineup. Valterri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu to part ways with the Zurich-based team.

Signing Bortoleto, who leads the Formula 2 standings with two rounds to go, gives Sauber a blend of youth and experience alongside the 37-year-old Hülkenberg. German automaker Audi is taking over Sauber, which will be rebranded as the Audi works team for 2026.

Sauber announced the signing of Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto on Wednesday to complete the future Audi Formula One team's driver line-up for 2025.The Swiss-based team had earlier announced the departure of Finland's Valtteri Bottas and Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu at the end of the season.

Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto has been signed to drive for the Audi-owned Sauber team next year. The 20-year-old, who is leading this year’s Formula 2 championship, will partner German veteran Nico Hulkenberg. The decision means that Sauber's current drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu, will not be in F1 next season.
