Four days after rapper NBA YoungBoy came to the Smoothie King Center and did his thing, NBA Long Boy (San Antonio Spurs’ center Victor Wembanyama) came and did the same. The New Orleans Pelicans lost 120-116 in overtime to Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs Friday night.

Wembanyama has 29 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocks to lead Spurs past Pelicans, 120-116 in OT
Victor Wembanyama had 29 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks before fouling out early in overtime, and the San Antonio Spurs held on to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 120-116.
In a trade idea first proposed by Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World, the San Antonio Spurs would acquire Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker. Phoenix Suns receive: Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, 2028 first-round pick (via SAS or BOS), 2030 first-round pick (via SAS, DAL, or MIN), 2031 first-round pick (SAS), 2031 second-round pick (SAS)
A mystery surrounding San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama emerged before the NBA season. While Wembanyama's team has previously suggested he is anywhere from 7-foot-3 to 7-foot-5, a different claim arose from an insider.
Wembanyama would finish with a stat line of 29 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks, narrowly missing out on a triple-double, in the Spurs' 120-116 overtime victory. The 7-foot-5 superstar fouled out with 4:17 left in OT, which prevented him from registering his tenth block.
While Victor Wembanyama has wowed, the Spurs center explained his brilliance following a Spurs win vs the Mavericks in the season opener.
In the Spurs' regular-season opener against the Dallas Mavericks, Wembanyama simply eviscerated his competition. He went into volcano mode and spewed 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting from the field, 15 rebounds, and three blocked shots. The French native also provided several highlight reel-worthy plays that made fans drop their jaws in disbelief.
