ONTARIO, Calif. -- A wild motorcycle chase ended in a violent crash on a Southern California freeway Monday afternoon after the suspect was attempting to flee at extraordinary speeds. All eastbound lanes were shut down and a SigAlert was issued between Mountain and Campus avenues on the 210 Freeway in Upland.

LOS ANGELES - A sheriff's deputy was shot in Rancho Cucamonga on Monday, authorities confirmed. The deputy was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Just before 1:30 p.m., authorities initiated a pursuit with a motorcyclist who is nelieved to be the suspect in the shooting.
