After CBS' shocking cancellation of Stephen Colbert's "Late Show," the comedian is set to play a late-night host elsewhere on the network.

Stephen Colbert 's days on CBS 's The Late Show may be numbered, but the comedian is already exploring some new ventures, including a role on CBS's Elsbeth — as a late-night host. Entertainment Weekly has learned that Colbert is set to guest-star in a season 3 episode of the murder mystery series.

Texas state Rep. Ann Johnson, one of the Democrats who fled the state for Illinois, told CNN’s Pamela Brown that she viewed the quorum break as a “last tool” available to her and her colleagues to protest the Republican-backed redistricting effort.

"She should have stayed with her belief in TRUMP. She never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings, no strength!!!" the president wrote on Truth Social.
